“Rebuilding Communities One Life at a Time”
|
L.I.F.E (Life In Focus Education) offers
faith-based community services to people in
need; regardless to language, status or culture.
We currently offer Drug Education, Anger
Management, Financial Planning, and Job
Readiness classes. All of these classes are
offered free of charge to our community.
Our desire is to help people in our community by
meeting them at there point of need.
One of the services we offer under L.I.F.E. is an
alcohol and drug program called A.C.T.S.
(Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series). Drug
and Alcohol abuse touches all of us either
directly or indirectly in one way or another.
A.C.T.S. is a proven tool that meets this need in
our community.
A.C.T.S. classes help substance abusers by
addressing three key areas; physical, emotional
A.C.T.S. is a curriculum based twelve week, three step program that offers a holistic approach
that encompasses the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of any individual of a family.
Each lesson contains educational information covering the physical, psychological, and
emotional changes associated with alcohol or chemical abuses. A visual illustration to enhance
the structure of the lesson and historical applications are applied to each lesson to enhance
the education and understanding of each class participant. The participant in turn will be able
to relate the lessons into problem solving areas of their own lives.
The A.C.T.S. class only consists of three steps:
Repentance I realize and confess that the way I have been living is wrong and I want to change. Starting right now, I’m turning to God for help and I am laying down the things that I know to be wrong. With the help of God I will not pick these things up again.
Restitution Now that I have seen my wrongs with the help of God, I will apologize for my wrongs and as far as possible, will make things right with others.
Reintegration Now that I have done, with the help of God, all that I know to be right, I will find a church where I can embrace truth and grow spiritually in accordance with my repentance and restitution. I will strive to be a positive member of society by being a good citizen, praying, and attending the church of my choice.
